FAQ • Frequently Asked Questions

It all started with a simple idea driven by a deep passion. As a freelancer, I value personal attention and dedication to the smallest detail. My approach is based on quality and integrity to ensure that everything I do reflects my commitment to excellence.

Filming with a smartphone is quick and convenient, but it has clear limitations. Sound quality, lighting conditions and visual consistency play a crucial role in how professional your brand is perceived. Professional production ensures clear audio, controlled images and a coherent visual language that reflects the quality of your company. This difference is often what determines whether a video feels temporary or truly represents your brand.

The answer is: they can also take on this task. In-house photographers or videographers know your company well. However:
1. External specialists bring a focused and independent perspective.
2. My work combines best audio, video, motion design, and color correction into a unified production process. This ensures visual consistency, strong sound quality, and a clear overall picture from concept to final delivery. The result is a professional product that complements internal resources and enhances the final impact.
3. My costs are fair and manageable because I am a freelancer. I am paid for a project — not on a monthly basis.

Well, I do as good as possible because I put great emphasis on transparency. Pricing video production is still challenging because no two projects are truly the same. Factors such as content complexity, shooting conditions, time on location and post-production requirements can vary significantly. Each of these elements directly affects the scope of work and resources involved. For this reason, prices are best defined once the actual needs and objectives are clearly understood. My daily rate is at € 350,00 plus travel expenses and optional equipment rentals.

During the agreed shooting time (sometimes even a few minutes longer), takes can be repeated whenever necessary. If someone feels nervous, stumbles over words, or realizes that something important was missed or explained incorrectly – I simply record it again. The goal is to create a relaxed environment and ensure the content is clear and confident. This approach allows everyone on camera to focus on the message rather than the pressure of getting it perfect, in the shortest time, on the first take.

I do it almost as main profession at EUPD. As I cannot show you more than my references so far, as I do not own the right of these recordings, I understand that you might have to put a lot of trust in me. All I can promise: I am very routined in what I do, I take the job for serious and I produce the highest quality as possible.

Maybe it is the fact that this is just a part-time job on a freelance basis for me. The quite low prices make customers uncertain in concerns of quality. I don’t want to raise prices too much because I do not have the costs on the other side. I want to stay fair and financially manageable for anyone. Even if I do have references.

There is not one answer, really. Social media is definitely a point: The more professional the posted content, the more attraction and impact and the more sustainable content will get.
Sometimes it is about explaining things right. A video can sometimes deliver a message clearer, faster and more convenient for an audience than a website or a brochure. It makes descriptions of products or services more haptic for the mind, I guess.
The other problem is costs. It costs a lot more to fly someone from China to Germany, let him stay overnight for days, provide food etc. than engaging me for an hour.

Unfortunately, I cannot show VAT on my invoice, as I offer this service as a small business owner in accordance with §19 UStG (German VAT Act). If you earn less than € 17.000 total per year as a freelancer you own a “small business” says the VAT act here. I have a main job and freelance income must not be too much to get everything how I want it for me.

As I try to keep prices low, I only offer one correction per film. That does not mean only one thing can be changed. But all desired adjustments have to be gathered and sent to me before we finalize the film. Normally I don’ have any adjustments to make …

Yes, that is a problem. Normally I would charge you half of the price and the project cannot be done. But if I know early enough I will try to shift the schedule to your convenience. At trade fairs I have a quite busy day and many appointments. So the shifting flexibillity is not allways there. Let us talk and find a good solution for all.

Yes, generally this is possible. But I would not recommend to do so. Every take that is controlled on side costs your time of production. In the worst case the project cannot be finnished in time, which will result in higher costs and a chaotic time schedule for me.

Yes, I do most of the time. Sometimes trade fairs or other events are over booked, so that not every job was possible for me shooting allone. In this case I organize other freelancers, who I trust best to shoot with me.
